Frequently Asked Questions

Straightforward, transparent answers to the questions students and parents ask most often.

European universities offer world-renowned academic prestige, affordable or zero tuition fees at public universities, rich multicultural exposure, Schengen travel across 29 European countries, and legal post-study stay-back visas ranging from 1 to 2 years for international graduates.

Yes! Thousands of Bachelor's and Master's degree programs across Germany, Netherlands, France, Italy, Sweden, Spain, and Finland are taught 100% in English. In Ireland, English is the primary official language. For daily living and long-term career success, learning the local language is encouraged but not a barrier for initial study.

Yes, in most European countries. France, Italy, Ireland, the Netherlands (HBO/Universities of Applied Sciences), and Finland frequently accept 3-year degrees that carry 180 ECTS credits equivalence. Some German public research universities require a 4-year degree (B.Tech) or an additional Master's year, but several German applied science institutions and private universities accept 3-year degrees.

At public universities across 15 of Germany's 16 federal states, undergraduate and consecutive Master's degrees have zero tuition fees for both EU and non-EU students. Students pay only a nominal semester contribution (€150 to €350/semester) covering student administration and public transit passes. In Baden-Württemberg and for selected non-consecutive programs, standard non-EU fees (~€1,500/semester) apply.

Monthly living costs vary by country and city: typically €700 - €950 in Italy, Spain, and smaller German towns; €950 - €1,200 in Berlin, Paris (outside central), Munich, or Nordic cities; and €1,100 - €1,500 in Dublin or Amsterdam. In France, international students can receive a monthly CAF housing subsidy covering roughly 20% to 40% of their rent.

Europe offers some of the world's most generous scholarship schemes: the German DAAD and Deutschlandstipendium; French Charpak and Eiffel Excellence scholarships; Italian regional DSU / ER.GO grants (which waive tuition and provide living stipends up to €7,000/year based on household income); Swedish SI Global Professionals scholarships; and Finnish State scholarships.
